Beginning Intaglio 1361 Fall 2001

Print #1 Drypoint

For your first print:

These images are to best reproduce the shape or form of your chosen object. Much like a shadow reveals an object look to find a way to create your image such that we know what your object is without giving us any great amount of detail.

Consider line quality as a way to distinguish your natural-object from your man-made-object. Drawing and line quality becomes important when you're not drawing a detailed rendering of an object.

For each print, natural and man-made, print a minimum of (5)states of each. Slowly work towards your                     final image, proofing as you go. I will need you to turn in the five proofs of each with two(2) of each of                     your final image.
